Academic Institution Membership

Developing the VSP Pathway
The Ventures Scholars Program pathway includes a membership of over 200 undergraduate institutions, graduate schools, and professional schools nationwide that are committed to achieving equity in and access to higher education.  Members are invited to recruit, enroll and prepare Ventures Scholars for math- and science-based careers.  In addition, members are invited to offer information to Ventures Scholars' family members and guidance counselors.

Undergraduate Institutions
Undergraduate institutions are provided with a variety of services.   Institutions can:

  • provide high school Ventures Scholars with information about enrichment programs, internships, fellowships, scholarships, financial aid resources, research opportunities, and support programs,
  • access academic and personal information about Ventures Scholars as early as the sophomore year,
  • share information with Ventures Scholars' families about college planning and financial aid resources, and
  • provide career- and college-related information to guidance counselors and educators at public and private schools across the country.

Graduate and Professional Schools
Graduate and professional schools are provided with a variety of services. Graduate and professional schools can:

  • provide Ventures Scholars with important information about enrichment programs, internships, fellowships, scholarships, financial aid resources, research opportunities, and support programs,
  • offer information to high school Ventures Scholars about math- and science career pathways,
  • access academic and personal information about Ventures Scholars as early as their freshman year of college and offer guidance to help them successfully pursue their career pathway,
  • share information with Ventures Scholars' families about career pathways to graduate and professional school, and
  • provide information to guidance counselors and educators at public and private high schools to help them better understand math- and science career pathways.
