Interested in a Dental Career?
|
The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is
a professional member of the Ventures Scholars Program
and the premier national organization that speaks for
dental education. ADEA invites you to learn more about
the 56 U.S. and 10 Canadian dental schools by visiting
its website at www.ADEA.org.
There you can also find information about the dental
school application process and links to other helpful
oral health websites.
To learn more about allied dental health careers and
health professions careers in general, ADEA recommends
that you visit www.explorehealthcareers.org.
Explorehealthcareers.org is a free, multi-disciplinary,
interactive health careers website designed to address
workforce shortages in the health professions. ExploreHealthCareers.org
gives students a free, reliable, and comprehensive source
of accurate, up-to-date information about the health
professions. This includes information on and links
to health-related education/training programs, financial
aid resources, specialized learning opportunities, and
current issues in health care. ADEA manages this unique
website, funded in part by a grant from the Josiah Macy,
Jr. Foundation.
Another resource is the American Dental Association
website which contains downloadable brochures and fact
sheets about dental and allied dental careers.
Click
here to access information on career options, workforce
trends and earnings potential.
ADEA welcomes your interest in the dental profession.
Their staff and dedicated student members would like
to hear from you. The ADEA Council of Students (comprised
of current dental school students) is available to answer
questions you may have about the dental school experience.
If you have questions, submit an inquiry through the
Ventures Scholars website and an ADEA staff member and
a member of the Council of Students will respond to
you.
