Application Deadline Monday November 1, 2010
Description Early Decision is an admission option intended for students who are willing to commit themselves to Miami University as their first choice college. Applicants contractually agree to attend Miami University if accepted and must sign the Early Decision Contract and submit it with the application for admission. Students may apply to only one institution as an Early Decision candidate. The admission application deadline is Nov. 1, 2010. If accepted to Miami, students are obligated to withdraw all other applications for admission to other colleges and submit a confirmation deposit by Jan 15, 2011. No deferrals or extensions can be granted for Early Decision candidates unless there are extenuating circumstances and approval is given by the Office of Admission. If receiving need and/or merit based financial aid is a determining factor in attending Miami University, students should not apply as Early Decision candidates. Accepted Early Decision students who do not confirm by Jan. 15, 2010 will have their application cancelled by the Office of Admission. These students will not have the opportunity to apply for admission to Miami for a subsequent term as either a first-year or transfer student.
